Time That Was
Anthony Bush is a member of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR), the Douglas County Historical Society, and the St. Louis County Historical Society. He serves on the Proctor Area Historical Society’s board of trustees.
He has had articles published on SABR.org, ZenithCity.com, HometownFocus.us, and in the Duluth Budgeteer; the Proctor Journal; Rootprints, the St. Louis County Historical Society’s newsletter; and the Duluth Huskies souvenir game program. He has given local history talks for the St. Louis County Historical Society, the Karpeles Manuscript Library, and for the Duluth Kiwanis Club.
A few of his plans for books include a biography of Ernie Nevers; a look at the Minnesota Twins’ “Class of ’82,” and a history of professional baseball in Duluth and Superior. He is currently working on a book about the high school baseball teams that represented Minnesota’s Region 7 in the state tournament during the single-class era, 1947-75. He lives in Duluth with his family.
